1. Accessing Pabbly Connect for Integration

To integrate Google Sheets with Discord, start by accessing Pabbly Connect. Open your browser and navigate to www.pabbly.com/connect. This platform is essential for automating your workflow without any coding skills.

If you are new to Pabbly Connect, sign up for a free account. You will receive 100 free tasks every month, allowing you to explore its features. Once logged in, you can start creating your automation.

2. Setting Up Google Sheets as a Trigger

In this step, you will set Google Sheets as the trigger for your automation. Within Pabbly Connect, select Google Sheets as your trigger application. Choose the trigger event as “New or Updated Spreadsheet Row.” This will activate the workflow whenever new data is entered.

  • Select Google Sheets from the app list.
  • Choose “New or Updated Spreadsheet Row” as the trigger event.
  • Copy the webhook URL provided by Pabbly Connect.

After copying the webhook URL, you need to set it up in Google Sheets. Go to the Extensions tab, select Add-ons, and then Get Add-ons. Search for Pabbly Connect Webhooks and install it. Once installed, refresh your spreadsheet to see the Pabbly Connect Webhooks option.

3. Configuring Webhook in Google Sheets

With the Pabbly Connect Webhooks add-on installed, it’s time to configure the webhook. Click on the Pabbly Connect Webhooks option and select “Initial Setup.” Here, paste the webhook URL you copied earlier from Pabbly Connect.

Next, specify the trigger column in your spreadsheet. This should be the last column where data will be entered. For example, if your last column is C, enter C in the trigger column field and click Submit. You will see a confirmation message stating, “Setup configured successfully.”

  • Paste the webhook URL in the designated field.
  • Set the trigger column to C or your last data column.
  • Click on Submit to save the configuration.

Finally, ensure to turn on the “Send on Event” option. This is crucial for capturing the response whenever new data is added.

4. Testing the Integration with Sample Data

Now that your webhook is configured, it’s time to test the integration. Go back to Pabbly Connect and click on the Recapture button to wait for the webhook response. Then, enter a sample lead’s details in your Google Sheets.

For example, input the name as “Sample Lead,” email as “[email protected],” and add a dummy phone number. After entering the data, you will see that the trigger in Pabbly Connect captures the new lead’s information within a few seconds.

Once the data is captured, you can proceed to send a notification to your Discord channel, confirming that the integration is working correctly. This step validates that Google Sheets is successfully connected to Pabbly Connect.

5. Sending Notifications to Discord

After validating the connection, the next step is to send notifications to Discord. In Pabbly Connect, select Discord as the action application. Choose the action event as “Send Channel Message.” Click on “Connect” to establish a connection with your Discord account.

Authorize the connection by selecting your Discord server and clicking on Continue. You will need to provide the Webhook ID and Token from Discord. Create a new webhook in your Discord channel settings and copy the URL. Extract the Webhook ID and Token from this URL and enter them in Pabbly Connect.

Next, customize your message text. For instance, you can write, “New lead alert: Please contact this lead at the earliest.” Map the lead’s name, email, and phone number from the previous step into your message. Finally, click on “Save and Send Test Request” to send the notification to your Discord channel.
