1. Accessing Pabbly Connect for Integration

To start integrating WhatsApp with Google Sheets, first, access Pabbly Connect. If you’re a new user, visit pabbl.com/connect and sign up for a free account. This allows you to send up to 100 WhatsApp messages monthly at no cost.

Existing users can simply log into their account. Once logged in, navigate to the workflow builder. Here, you will create the automation that connects Google Sheets and WhatsApp via Pabbly Connect.

2. Setting Up the Trigger in Pabbly Connect

In Pabbly Connect, create a new workflow by clicking on the “Add Trigger” button. Select Google Sheets as the trigger application. For the event, choose “New or Updated Spreadsheet Row” and click on “Connect” to receive the webhook URL.

Next, open Google Sheets and install the Pabbly Connect Webhooks add-on. After installation, refresh your spreadsheet to see the add-on in the extensions tab. Now, go to Pabbly Connect Webhooks and set up the webhook URL and trigger column. This column will determine when data is sent to Pabbly Connect.

3. Sending WhatsApp Messages via Pabbly Chatflow

After setting the trigger, the next step involves sending WhatsApp messages using Pabbly Chatflow. Click on “Add New Action Step” and select Pabbly Chatflow for the action application. Choose “Send Text Message” as the event and connect your account.

If you haven’t created a connection yet, you will need to enter your API token from your Pabbly Chatflow account. Ensure you have added your WhatsApp number in Pabbly Chatflow settings before proceeding.

4. Mapping Data for Personalized Messages

Mapping is crucial for sending personalized WhatsApp messages. In Pabbly Connect, enter the recipient’s WhatsApp mobile number and the message content. Use the mapping feature to insert customer names dynamically into the message.

After setting up the message, click on “Save and Send Test Request” to verify that your WhatsApp message is sent successfully. Check your WhatsApp to confirm receipt.

5. Sending Bulk Messages to Customers

To send messages to multiple customers at once, return to your Google Sheets. Use the Pabbly Connect Webhooks add-on and click on “Send All Data” to initiate the bulk messaging process. This sends all customer details to Pabbly Connect, which triggers the WhatsApp messages automatically.

For ongoing automation, enable the “Send on Event” option in the Pabbly Connect Webhooks add-on. This ensures that any new entries added to your Google Sheets will automatically trigger WhatsApp messages to those customers through Pabbly Connect.
