1. Accessing Pabbly Connect for Integration

To start using Pabbly Connect, navigate to pabbly.com/chatflow in your browser. This will direct you to the Pabbly Chat Flow homepage, where you can either log in or sign up for a free trial if you’re a new user.

Once logged in, you’ll see a dashboard with various Pabbly applications. Click on “Access Now” under Pabbly Chat Flow to enter your dashboard. Here, you can manage your WhatsApp integration and start setting up your AI assistant.

2. Creating Your AI Assistant in Pabbly Chat Flow

In this step, we will create an AI assistant using Pabbly Chat Flow. First, navigate to the “AI Assistant” section on your dashboard. Here, you can see the total number of assistants and their statuses.

Click on the “Add” button to create a new assistant.
Enter a name for your assistant and click “Add” again.
You will be directed to a flow setup window.

Here, you can choose the type of assistant. Select “AI Agent” from the dropdown menu. This selection will initiate the setup process, allowing you to customize the assistant according to your business needs.

3. Configuring AI Settings with OpenAI

In this section, we configure the AI settings using Pabbly Connect and OpenAI. Start by adjusting the “Temperature” setting to control the creativity of the AI’s responses. A lower value means more focused answers, while a higher value allows for more creativity. For this setup, we set it to 0.4.

Next, select OpenAI as your AI provider and choose the GPT-5.4 model. You will need to add your OpenAI API key to link your assistant. To obtain this key, go to your OpenAI account, create a new secret key, and paste it in the designated field in Pabbly Chat Flow.

4. Finalizing Your Assistant Settings

Now that you’ve set up your assistant, it’s time to finalize the settings in Pabbly Connect. You can customize the greeting message, footer text, and add keywords that will trigger human intervention. For example, if a user types “help,” the assistant will stop responding and alert a human agent.

Enable the option for the AI to respond to conversations.
Set the maximum number of retry attempts before human intervention.
Upload your knowledge source document in PDF or plain text format.

After finalizing these settings, click the “Save” button to store your configurations. This ensures your AI assistant is ready to handle inquiries effectively.

5. Assigning Your Assistant to WhatsApp Conversations

To complete the integration, you need to assign your AI assistant to WhatsApp conversations using Pabbly Connect. Go to the “Inbox Settings” in your dashboard. Here, enable the AI assistant option and select the contact list to which you want to assign your assistant.

Once you save these settings, your assistant will automatically respond to all inquiries from the selected contacts. You can also assign the assistant to specific WhatsApp conversations directly from the inbox.
