To begin integrating LinkedIn with Mailchimp, you first need to access Pabbly Connect. Open your web browser and type in pabbly.com to reach the landing page.
Once on the Pabbly website, sign in to your account. If you are a new user, you can sign up for free. Existing users should click on the ‘Sign In’ button located at the top right corner. After logging in, select the Pabbly Connect app from the dashboard to access its features.
2. Creating a New Workflow in Pabbly Connect
After accessing Pabbly Connect, the next step is to create a new workflow. Click on the ‘Create Workflow’ button to initiate the process. Name your workflow something descriptive, like “Automatically Add LinkedIn Leads to Mailchimp”.
Select a folder for your workflow, such as “LinkedIn Automations”, and click on ‘Create’. Your workflow will now be set up, ready to define the trigger event.
- Click on ‘Create Workflow’
- Name your workflow
- Select a folder and confirm
With your workflow created, you can now set the trigger application to LinkedIn.
3. Setting Up LinkedIn as the Trigger Application
In this step, you will configure LinkedIn as the trigger application in Pabbly Connect. Choose LinkedIn from the trigger application options and select the event as “Lead Notification”.
Click on ‘Connect’ to establish a connection. If you already have a connection, you can save it; otherwise, create a new connection by entering your LinkedIn credentials. Once connected, select your sponsored account and click on ‘Save and Send Test Request’ to capture the webhook response.
- Select LinkedIn as the trigger application
- Choose “Lead Notification” as the trigger event
- Connect your LinkedIn account
Now you will wait for the webhook response, which will occur when a test lead is generated in LinkedIn.
4. Generating a Test Lead in LinkedIn
To test the integration, you need to generate a test lead in LinkedIn. Open your LinkedIn campaign and fill out the lead form. Make sure to enter the required fields, such as first name, last name, and email address.
After submitting the form, return to Pabbly Connect and check if the webhook response has been captured. This response will confirm that the integration is working correctly and that the lead details have been received.
- Open your LinkedIn campaign
- Fill out the lead form
- Submit the form to generate a lead
Upon receiving the response, you can confirm that the integration setup is functioning properly.
5. Adding New Leads to Mailchimp via Pabbly Connect
Now that you have successfully set up LinkedIn as the trigger, the next step is to add the new leads to Mailchimp. In Pabbly Connect, click on ‘Add New Action Step’ and select Mailchimp as your action application.
Choose the action event as “Add Member with Custom Field” and connect your Mailchimp account by entering the API key. This key can be found in your Mailchimp account settings under “Extras” and “API Keys”. Once connected, map the lead details from LinkedIn to the corresponding fields in Mailchimp.
- Select Mailchimp as the action application
- Choose “Add Member with Custom Field” as the action event

After mapping the fields, click on ‘Save and Send Request’. Check your Mailchimp audience to confirm that the new lead has been successfully added.
