1. Accessing Pabbly Connect to Automate Invoice Creation

To start automating the creation of sales invoices in TallyPrime, you first need to access Pabbly Connect. Open your browser and go to pabbly.com/connect. If you’re new, click on the “Sign Up for Free” button to create an account. Existing users can log in directly to access their workflow builder.

Once logged in, navigate to the dashboard and click on the “Create Workflow” button. Here, you will set up a trigger and action system. The trigger will be the event that initiates the process, while the action will be the task that follows. In this case, the trigger will be receiving a new order from Shopify, and the action will be creating a sales invoice in TallyPrime.

2. Setting Up Shopify Trigger in Pabbly Connect

In the workflow builder, you will first add a trigger by clicking on the “Add Trigger” button. Search for Shopify V2 and select it as your trigger application. For the event, choose “New Order” and click on the “Connect” button. This step connects your Shopify store to Pabbly Connect.

  • Select Shopify V2 as the trigger application.
  • Choose “New Order” as the event.
  • Connect your Shopify account to Pabbly Connect.

After connecting, copy the webhook URL provided by Pabbly Connect and head over to your Shopify store. In Shopify, navigate to Settings > Notifications > Webhooks and click on “Create Webhook”. Select “Order Creation” as the event and paste the copied URL as the webhook URL. Set the format to JSON and save the webhook.

3. Capturing the Webhook Response

To capture the webhook response, you will need to perform a test purchase in your Shopify store. Add items to your cart and complete the checkout process. This action will trigger the webhook and Pabbly Connect will capture the order details.

Once the order is completed, return to Pabbly Connect and you should see that the webhook response has been captured. This response will contain all the necessary details about the order, including customer information and purchased items, which will be used to create the sales invoice in TallyPrime.

4. Connecting TallyPrime to Pabbly Connect

Next, you need to connect TallyPrime to Pabbly Connect. Click on “Add Action” and search for TallyPrime. Select it and choose the event “Check Tally Connection”. Click on “Connect” and ensure that your TallyPrime account is logged in and the application is installed.

After confirming the connection, you will need to provide a pairing code. Download the PBY Secure Agent for Tally, run it, and copy the pairing code it generates. Paste this code back into Pabbly Connect to establish the connection. Once connected, you can proceed to create the ledger for the customer.

5. Creating the Sales Invoice in TallyPrime

After setting up the connection, the next step is to create the sales invoice. In Pabbly Connect, add another action step and select TallyPrime. Choose the event “Create Sales Invoice”. Map the necessary fields such as invoice date, customer ledger, and item details from the previous steps.

Ensure that you format the invoice date correctly and map the customer details dynamically. This ensures that every new order creates a corresponding sales invoice automatically in TallyPrime. Once all fields are mapped, click on “Save and Send Test Request” to finalize the setup.

After testing, you should see that the sales invoice is created successfully in TallyPrime, reflecting the order details from Shopify. This automation will save time and eliminate manual entry for every new order.

Conclusion

By using Pabbly Connect, you can seamlessly automate the process of creating sales invoices in TallyPrime from Shopify orders. This integration streamlines your workflow and saves valuable time, allowing you to focus on growing your business.
